✨ BRAHMACHARYA Right use of Energy ✨

The attainment of great Virya; great vitality lies in the concept of Brahmacharya.

Brahmacharya is the practice of non-excess, moderation, and right use of energy. It’s the practice of experiencing the pleasure, wonder, and the mystery of life without over-indulgence. Brahma is Sanskrit for creation. Charya translates to mean “one who is established in”.

Brahmacharya can then be translated as: “One who is established in the way of the creative force.”
When you choose to look at yourself and your energy as sacred, the practice of moderation becomes easeful and an act of honoring the divine with yourself and others. Conducting of the self in moderation of cravings is the true path in the awareness of Brahma, the All-Soul.

The yogic path of aspiration for fulfillment and joy over just pleasure makes the difference between the sacred and the profane.
For self development, brahmacharya means not being at the mercy of the impulses, but to deal with oneself, one’s energy and others in a self-determined and sensible way, to redirect this energy through love, to lead it back to the universe and to be in harmony with it.

This yama includes significant its preceding yamas, ahimsa, satya, asteya.
We look forward to practicing with you!
