“How you do ANYTHING is how you do EVERYTHING”
This week we will take the inspiration from this powerful quote and focus on our mind-set on the yoga mat. After all, our character and nature refers to how we handle all the day-to-day things in life, no matter how small or big. Our yoga mats will become a laboratory to observe our habits. How we move, breathe, think and feel. This as a reflection on how we do everything in our lives and an opportunity to become aware, to learn, to understand and to do better. Our practice is like a lens that shows a vision of ourselves, both how we are and how we would like to be.

Observe your habits in the practice:
Are you moving too fast or too slow? Do you want too much or give too little? Are you staying in one posture or anticipating the next? Are you bringing the same energy and movement you had earlier in the day to your practice? Or can it be changed?

Observe your breathing, not just as inhaling and exhaling air, but as a slowly movement of prana (life force) in and out. Rest in Pranasthana, the “place of breathing,” without drifting away….Observe.

No matter how deep the state of our body allows us to get into the posture, it is the consistency of the practice, not the external performance, that will lead us to a state of fullfillment.

Through practice we attain a synchronicity of body, senses, mind, and self, and in this synchronicity we are able to experience peace and harmony within ourselves. Approaching everything with a more conscious intention.
