Love Shanti

Śāntih शान्ति
Śāntih can be described as tranquillity of mind, in the sense of inner peace, blessings and well-being. The resting of the senses, passions and impulses.
A peace that can be no longer disturbed by external influences.
The state of śāntih is the absolute fulfilling peace, being centered and equanimous.
In mantras, this powerful śāntih is used in threefold repetitions and as an invocation and at the end of verses.
Recited three times it means, peace for oneself, peace with fellow beings, peace for the whole world. Also peace for body, mind and soul.

Om śāntih śāntih śāntih
“The question of actual, lasting world peace concerns all of humanity. It has its roots in basic, typically human feelings. By attaining inner peace, world peace can ultimately be envisioned. The central importance of individual responsibility is therefore obvious. An atmosphere of peace must first be established within ourselves, which can then spread to our families, our communities, and eventually the entire planet.” – Dalai Lama
